擔仔麵

Ingredients
Noodles(generally the oil one), soup, shrimp, bean sprouts, minced pork, chives, meat ball(pork), stewed egg, and some ingredients of hotpot also used for it, like fish patty and mini sausage
Danzai noodles is originated from Tainan(台南), Taiwan. The literature meaning of "擔仔dàn zǎi" is "carrying a pole" in Taiwanese. The name was relating to the founder's selling method. He sold Danzai noodles by carrying the pole in the street before he had the stall in front of the temple. The amount of Danzai noodles is usually small. It is seen as snack instead of staple food for some people.
Where to eat?
Chain restaurant "度小月(Dù xiǎo yuè)", some of normal snack bar, or the food court in department stores and some of universities. Of course, you can not miss it when you visit its place of origin, 台南Tainan!

The song that I want to share with you is by Taiwanese singer, 韋禮安 Weibird. In the video, he went to Tainan and hold a concert. But he found out he had not eaten the Danzai noodles in Tainan. He felt disappointed that his co-workers tasted it without him. Poor Weibird!
